Pixel Melbourne (βweβ, βusβ) operates pixelmelbourne.com. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Business data: our map is built from OpenStreetMap, a public dataset. It includes business names, addresses, categories, and publicly listed contact details. Business contact details shown on this site were already published openly.
Owner accounts: when you claim a business we store the email address the verification link was sent to, your session, and the profile content you add (description, hours, contacts, photos).
Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent) kept for security and abuse prevention. We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
We send one-off claim invitations to publicly listed business addresses, and transactional verification emails on request. Every marketing-style email contains a working unsubscribe link; suppression requests are honoured permanently, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or removal of your business's contact details from the site, by emailing our contact form. We respond within 30 days.
Data is stored on servers we control, which may be located outside Australia (currently in the European Union). We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles wherever it is stored. Photos you upload are stored until you delete them or your profile is removed. We do not sell personal information.
